Thank you for your response. The acne is not itchy...it is red like a bite and then turns into hole in it sometimes but always a thin white line around it...usually face throat and chest.. t comes and goes.... has no pus to speak of.....and get more when stressed it seems.....it leaves a light scar... and they do not hurt.
I hope that helps you help.

Brief Answer:
I suggest a possibility of EM Minor; i would prefer an Image

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I would have really preferred an Image.

The Salient points that i can gather from your description are:

-round or ring shaped lesions
-which come and go
-center is red/eroded/like a bite and outer part is lighter/white
-Asymptomatic
-distributed on face, throat and chest
-resolves with hypopigmentation

I would suggest a possibility of erythema multiforme minor (EM Minor) purely on the basis of your description, however, I again request you to upload a representative image of skin lesions so that I am able to confirm.

EM Minor is a hypersensitivity reaction to viral infections, certain oral drugs etc and presents as round lesions which have a central necrotic zone, surrounded by a paler/white zone of edema and a peripheral zone of erythema or flare. They appear as "target shaped lesions".

There can be recurrences in Erythema multiforme minor and the lesions might resolve with pigmentary changes i.e either hypo or hyperpigmentation.

What do bed bug bites look like and do they have a white thin halo around it
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Kakkar (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Bug bites don't usually have a hallow

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

No, bed bug bites classically do not have a white thin halo around them.
Since you have these lesions on face, throat and chest. It is not common to have bug bites on face and throat.
Moreover, bug bites are usually itchy whereas the skin lesions that you have are asymptomatic.
I suggested a possibility of erythema multifome minor. Your description seems to match this possibility.
You may visit a doctor for a confirmatory diagnosis

I can not thank you enough for your well thought out answer. How do you get rid of them and treat them.?

Answered by Dr. Dr. Kakkar (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
I suggest you to visit your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thank you. I wish I could have helped you even better if you could have uploaded an image.
I have kept a provisional diagnosis based on your description which needs to be confirmed by visual examination.
If this indeed turns out to be erythema multiforme minor (EM Minor) on physical examination, then the best way to treat it would be to use a topical moderately potent steroid e.g mometasone furoate 0.1% cream, twice daily for a few days.

Regards
Take care
