What Does A Pea Size Lump Below The Collar Bone Indicate?
Question: Hi, four weeks ago I was playing with my necklace and found a pea size lump about an inch below collar bone towards chest.. Almost centre ( inline with nipple) I was waiting to see if it was a lymph node and if it would dissapeared it might've been fighting an infection. Its still there I have had no cold or illness/infection and wouldn't know it was there if I have felt it! It's not sore. Hardish doesn't move.
I have no symptoms but do occasionally feel a strange sensation on outside of the breast in the same area no lump there but feels grizzly!..my menstral cycle is not affecting this as I have had it since the last one!

Brief Answer:
Ultrasonography guided FNAC to start with
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Good that you detected this although incidentally.
This is not a site of any lymph node.
So this is the lump of the breast.
This is hardish and does not move, not affected by menstrual cycle.
I would advise such a patient to undergo ultrasonography examination and Ultrasonography guided FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology). to get an idea what it is .
It is always advisable to for excision biopsy as this is a sure-shot diagnosis. This will lead to a path of treatment strategy.
and no one is going to miss or under-diagnose.
Occasional strange sensation is not clinically significant to be connected to a particular disease.

Thanks for your reply.
It seems quite high to be breast tissue (it was where chain sits under collar bone/chest area)
It hasn't changed shape/size in the last month.
Was putting off going GP but know I should.kinda don't want to be fobbed off but also don't want it to be anything!
Thanks for your time drs on Monday it is :)
