Brief Answer:
Your platelets count is very low.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your RBC count, mch, mchc all are normal but your platelets count is very low. It can be seen in viral infection, ITP or some bone marrow disorders.

You have to search the cause of low platelets count and need to take treatment accordingly.

Please tell me about your symptoms and other findings so that I can help you further.

I have had really bad bruising especially on my legs and arms that started about 2 months ago, and also some in my stomach area . It has been noticed by others. I had a nosebleed a few days ago which I have never had happened before. My grandfather died from a blood disorder which I believe turned into leukemia, but he was 71 when he passed. Is leukemia hereditary? I do have a Dr appt next Friday but should I try and get in sooner?

Brief Answer:
You should consult your doctor urgently.

you have multiple bruises and nose bleeding. This things occurs due to low platelets count.

You need to consult your doctor urgently because life threatening internal bleeding may occur if platelets count fall below 10000.

It can be due to bone marrow disorder, leukemia, ITP or other causes.

You need peripheral smear examination and if required go for bone marrow testing accordingly.

All leukemia are not hereditary. But few leukemia has some predisposition.
