What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?

Question: Dear Dr.,
My sister having pregnancy of 23rd weeks, found SGPT(ALT) 433U/L and TSH, serum(CLIA) level in 3rd trimester is 4.46uIU/ml.
What would be the side effects on baby, is it harmful for baby and what should be the precaution taken by her.

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) TSH less than 5 is fine. No problem.

2) SGPT is high and needs to be treated. This is harmful for mother and baby.

3) Please repeat Liver function test after another week from a different laboratory. If abnormal we need to treat this. Please let me know the reports after a week.

4) No precations need to be taken as of now.
