Brief Answer:
it is mostly GERD.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Warm feeling center of chest without pain or shortness of breath can be seen in GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease).
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter.
Because of this, acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms like warm feeling in the center of the chest.
So in my opinion you are having GERD mostly.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

no it is not always heart issue.

Brief Answer:
your symptoms are mostly related to panic attacks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion, your symptoms are mostly related to panic attacks and anxiety.
Both can cause GERD. And because of GERD, you are having heart reflux and warm sensation in center of chest.
Your GERD is also worsening by bad food habits.
Do your panic attacks and anxiety are controlled by propranolol?
Do you have any bad habits like smoking or alcohol intake?
Reply me these answers, so that I can guide you proper treatment for GERD and anxiety with panic attacks.
I will be happy to help you further.

Brief Answer:
you need to consult psychiatrist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on it.
Propranolol is good drug for anxiety and panic attacks but can cause a lot of side effects.
Now a days newer anxiolytic drugs are available which are less habit forming and have very less side effects, so safe for long term use. And yes, CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) can be done. Better to get it done by professional psychotherapist.
Hope I have solved your query.
