For this he requires adequate fluid and electrolyte to prevent the loss otherwise there may be dehydration. He may require antibiotic course also. So if he is unable to take orally as he is vomiting intensely he has to be taken to ER. He also require some blood tests Like complete haemogram and stool examination to see for any infection. Serum electrolytes ( sodium and potassium) to see for electrolyte loss and accordinly their replenishment.
