Brief Answer:
Take him to ER as he is unable to take orally

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

I appreciate your concerns regarding your boyfriend

He must have developed acute gastrointestinal infection

For this he requires adequate fluid and electrolyte to prevent the loss otherwise there may be dehydration. He may require antibiotic course also. So if he is unable to take orally as he is vomiting intensely he has to be taken to ER. He also require some blood tests Like complete haemogram and stool examination to see for any infection. Serum electrolytes ( sodium and potassium) to see for electrolyte loss and accordinly their replenishment. Kidney function tests like serum creatinine and blood urea to see any effect on kidney and deficiency of fluid in body.

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health

yes you can wait till morning if he is able to take orally

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back

Nice to hear that vomiting is stopped.

Now give him adequate fluid to prevent fluid loss and electrol powder to prevent electrolyte insufficiency. Do get the blood and stool test. If there is any infection then also give him a course of antibiotic, you may obtain a prescription from a local doctor.

Yes you can wait till morning if he is able to take orally. In case you feel he is getting sicker then take him to ER.

Wish him a good health
