Question: Dear Doctor,
I started conceiving on 21st May. On 23rd - 26th, i have been experiencing brown spotting. On 24th, i had an intercourse and bleed in fresh red color and stop the next dat. Right now,i feel a bloated tummy. Also, my last menses was on 30 april. Could you advise if brown spotting would indicate polyps or cervical cancer?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concerns.
Bleeding after sexual can occur due to so many reasons like injury to vaginal wall, infection and STD infection, estrogen deficiency other than cervical polyp and cancer.
But whenever you had vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, you should consult a Gynecologist and get yourself examined and rule out the above mentioned causes.
You should get your pap smear test, ultrasound scan, vaginal swab culture and sensitivity to rule out above mentioned causes.
Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more.
Good luck.
Regards
