What Causes Vaginal Spotting Between Periods?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Dec 2014
Question: Hi
I am 30 and female. For the last few days I have had blood on the tissue when I wipe after a wee. It is not bright red more like the start or end of a period. Also, when I poo there is bright red blood on the tissue. I do not bleed any other time. When I wee you can see the darkish blood in the toilet sometimes. Today my stomach feels very bloated. I feel ok, appetite is fine. Thanks

I am not sure. I assume when I wee from the vagina and poo from my anus.

Last period was around 14/11/14

5ft 10, 10 stone 3

I am on Loestrin 30

No, usually go every few days to a week sometimes. It has been like this since I had my child in January 2012

No pain, itching etc

Thanks

Brief Answer:
NEEDS WORKUP

Detailed Answer:
You need to consult a gynecologist and check first where is the blood from.
If it is vaginal spotting, it can occasionally happen due to the birth control.
If it is from the anus / rectum, it can be due to constipation, piles or a fissure.
You need a complete physical exam, complete urine and stool testing, a Pap smear.
This would reveal the cause of the spotting.
Take care.
