What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Spye Tablet?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I had a miscarriage last week which was removed on 16th Nov. I was 10 weeks pregnant during miscarriage. I am prescribed to take spye tablets twice a day from 22nd Nov which is causing bleeding. Please let me know if this is okay. Also, please let me know if I can consume alcoholic beverages during medication.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Spye tablet is spiramycin and it is a drug given for the toxoplasmosis infection, and has no side effect like bleeding.
Morever, it is not known to interact with alcohol, therefore you can take alcoholic beverages while on this drug.

Hi Doctor,

I am not a regular drinker, but socially at office meetings and get together i will have to have a small amount of it. Since am on medications, I want to doubly ensure that it will not have any effects. I am on below tablets now.

Spye 1-0-1
Progynova 1mg 0-0-1
Orofer XT 0-1-0

And would be taking Folinol plus from XXXXXXX 2016.
