Brief Answer:
Failure of absorption of glomerular filtrate

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Most of the water that is filtered at the glomeruli of the kidneys is reabsorbed in the tubules to make the urine concentrated. When this concentrating power is lost in end stage renal failure, the urine has a fixed specific gravity of 1.010. In such a situation, even though the kidneys are not working well, with raised serum creatinine and urea, the urine output is more than before.

Take care
