What Causes Tingling, Burning Sensation At Tip Of Penis?

Question: Hello, I am looking for a second opinion as I wait for the urine test results to be given this coming Friday. Last Friday I spoke to a Urologist about my symptoms of a slight tingling burning itch sensation at the tip of my penis, inside the urethra. Without examining me the urologist gave me a urine test and said he thinks it may be uretheritis or some infection. He said that if there are no organisms found in the test he would not recommend any antibiotics to me. I also shared with the urologist that five weeks ago I had an std screening with blood and urine samples taken, and the results were all negative. The test covered HIV, gonorrhea, uretheritis and others.

I first noticed my tingling itch symptom last Sunday after having sexual intercourse with my girlfriend. Once in a while we would have unprotected sex, but not usually. Last Sunday when we were finished with sexual intercourse, I pulled the condom to take it off and it attached to my skin at the head of the penis. As I gave my condom a pull it tightly attached to my skin at the head of the penis I was surprised and think I may have irritated the skin and maybe the condom itself caused this mild tingling burning itch. My tingling itch symptoms would come and go but don't seem to be getting any worse sense last week when I first noticed them.

So far there is no discharge or severe pain or change in the appearance of the skin on the inside or outside of the penis. Still I would be helpful to get another opinion. Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to allergic reaction to chemicals in condom.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have tingling sensation at the tip of the penis following protected sex with your girl fried who is known not to have any STD.

In view of reports of STD,Gonorrhea, being negative the tingling and itching that you have could be mostly due to allergic reaction to chemicals used in condom as a lubricant .or due to Herpes 2 infection .

Please get swab test of a urethral discharge and PCR test done to rule out Herpes 2 infection.

Further treatment will depend upon results of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
