Question: Hello,
i am concerned about pregnancy, i am on the pill and never missed a day. my fiance wears condoms 90% of the time and pulls out. He lives in far away so we do not see each other often and after i get home i even take plan b. We are very careful. I was out by him from May 28 to XXXXXXX 1. When I came home I took Plan B on XXXXXXX 2. Since starting birth control I have started my period on tuesday on my sugar pill week. two periods ago i started on wednesday. I did have my period this past month it came on a thursday though so a little bit later it started on XXXXXXX 12. It seemed normal other than that. Maybe the flow was slightly lighter but it was the bright red blood and just a little old blood. it ended on sunday/monday. I thought that i was fine and not pregnant and i realize that my chance are slim but starting last night my breasts became sore and were all of today. Today i also have felt like i have had ot go to the bathroom more often and dont actually really go. but it is not consistant with a bladder infection, no burning. i have also felt tired but that has been going on for about a month and a half. do you think that this could be pregnancy? something from the plan b? i have also struggled with symptoms from my birth control which i have been on since november.

Brief Answer:
Not pregnant, just side effects of pill

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam thanks for trusting health care magic.
The symptoms you are getting are owing to the side effects of pill.
Progesterone in these pills is responsible for these symptoms and they are a little exaggerated because you took plan B (which is progesterone in high doses)
Chances of failure are 0.3% in case pills if you are regularly having them.
And intake of plan b further decreases the chances.
In my opinion you need not to worry about pregnancy at all.
Keep taking your pills daily and well on time.
Take care.

so even though I took the plan b pill 22 days ago, this could still be side effects from that?

Brief Answer:
NOT PREGNANT

Detailed Answer:
Yes dear, it is the side effect of pill only.
Progesterone in your OCP and that in plan B are acting together and causing the symptoms you are experiencing.
The symptoms seen in pregnancy are also due to rising levels of progesterone and thus giving you a false impression of pregnancy like symptoms.
I hope I have answeredyour question but in case you have any other query i will be happy to help.
