Brief Answer:
Try giving Decolic syrup and Lanzol Jr XXXXXXX and see if it provides relief

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the details and understand your concerns. Fever can occur due a number of causes, most of which are infective. The exact location of the abdominal pain is important, something that I would not be able to check without thorough clinical examination. Broadly speaking, there are two possibilities to consider. The first is colicky pain which should respond to Decolic syrup given as and when needed. The second is due to gastritis which may often occur concurrently. In such a case, giving Lanzol Junior 30 (lansoprazole) should provide relief.

You are doing the right thing in giving Calpol 250 for fever but instead of giving dose every 6 hours, give it only if there is a rise in temperature. The minimum interval between doses is 3-4 hours.

Most often such ailments are not a cause to worry about. You may try the mentioned steps and see if it helps. Look out for signs of lethargy. Unless that is the case, you need not worry. In case the child grows lethargic, you will have to rush the child to a hospital without delay.

Thanks Doctor

we are giving the dose only when fever rises
I managed to get the details out from my daughter and also went to see a pediatric
Seems she is now pointed her pain towards her mouth..and there r ulcers formed at the end of her tongue

The pediatric just changed the prescription to
Ibugesic Plus instead of calphol

He said ulcers will go away in a day or two..as they are viral

He aksed us to feed liquid diets for 2 days...but not sure what we feed her..milk..buttermilk..?

Please advise if we are going in right direction?

Doctor has suggested Junior Lanzol tablets, 1/2 a tablet for 2 days. Can we give her coconut water and fruit juices? as she has little bit of cold and her current temperature is 99

Brief Answer:
Other than liquid diet, treatment is in the right direction.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I have gone through the details and indeed it seems to be going in the right direction. However, if the child can take, I think normal diet is enough. I would not speak in favour of liquid diet unless there are tolerance issues. It does not matter if you give coconut water while she has cough and cold. Rather than giving fruit juice, I prefer fruits given directly.

Thanks Doctor

The thing is she is finding hard to eat any solid food..I think her ulcer is hurting her when she takes them..I will try to offer her fruits..

Anything other food you want to suggest..i don't know what else i can give her

One thing i didn't understand is why my pediatric or you didn't suggest any medication for ulcer

Brief Answer:
Food or drinks can be given as per choice.

Detailed Answer:
In that case you can give anything that she feels like taking. Giving liquids should be fine, even semi solids or solids can be given as per her choice. I have no specifications about it.

About the ulcers, you can give some vitamin supplement for a few days but they are likely to resolve soon on their own. That is the reason no medicine has been suggested. Zytee lotion may be used for local relief.
