Hi and thank you for asking!
You are reporting to have stomach burping and burning sensation on chest area.
These symptoms are mostly related with GERD acid reflux and stomach issues.
This si why at your situation I would recommend to do :
- upper endoscopy
Meantime I suggest to start PPI'S treatment like prilosec and antacids like gaviscon.

Also I would recommend to change lifestyle like:
- avoid fatty and spicy foods
- eat often as small amount of meal
- use two pillows when you lay down
- increase physical activity
- avoid alcohol and smoking
Hope it was helpful to you!

I just started taking prescription Prilosec today. Its 40mg. I was on in for 30 days back in January and seemed to work good. Can Gerd cause the stomach to growl a lot?

What about the burning in my stomach area? Is that part of gastritis or could it be an ulcer?
