What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Breast After A Needle Biopsy?

Question: I had a stereotactic needle biopsy 1221/2016. the site was difficult to reach, the needle was large, in my opinion.the site has healed. over the last 2 weeks I have been having stabbing pain in that breast. it is almost as if the procedure is occurring. it is relieved when I apply pressure. it comes and goes randomly and lasts for 5 or 6 minutes . is this normal? why is this happening?

Random sharp pain in the area of biopsy can be due to fibrosis in the area and can be suggestive of healing or a mild nerve injury in the area. This will gradually heal on its own. In case the pain persists after 4 wees then do get it examined to rule out any infection or abscess.
