What Causes Skin Rash On Penis, wrist, under Eyes And Scalp?

Question: Hey, my name is XXXX, I am extremely worried about my health. I have itchy skin and a rash in the following areas: Penis, Testicles, left side of lip, anal region, sometimes my wrists, under the eyes (eyelids) and my scalp itches as well, but I can not see it. This is the 2nd time this rash has happened since a month ago, when I was diagnosed with prostitis and treated with ciprofloxin. The rash is red and extremely itchy. It seems to have a shiny area with raised skin, then it itches like crazy, creates a full fledged reaction, then eventually gets a flaky texture to it and lots of dry skin. As I mention this is the 2nd time I have had this in a month. under the eyes initially itch, then turn into a full blow rash after I itch it or spend time in the wind/sun. The doctor told me he thought my genital rash it was a yeast infection an treated with diflucan. It went away for about 5 days, with a crusty layer over the top. It has since come back again, and I am currently on Diflucan (300mg so far, has been 7 days)-for all these photos. I also have a general itch in the anus at times. I am very concerned this could be a life changing event, because it will be if I have to deal with these problems....Please give me some advice and try to diagnose me, rather than telling me to see a dermatologist, because I have an appointment in a couple weeks.

Brief Answer: fungal infection Detailed Answer: Hello dear, I have read your query and understood your concern. I have reviewed the pictures. Though it wasn't very clear, the fact that they improved with diflucan makes me think of fungal infection as the likely possibility. Unfortunately it has recurred due to inadequate treatment. I suggest my patients to use antifungal for at least 2 weeks before evaluating further. Discuss with your doctors about my opinion. If needed, you should also consider topical creams containing antifungals like clotrimazole, miconazole, sertraconazole. The most important thing to be taken care off is to keep the body clean and dry. change and wash your clothes daily. Don't share your towel or clothes with others. But the most important thing is to take continuous medication till it is gone completely else it has high chances of recurrence. I hope it helps. If you have any further query you may ask me. Good luck.
