What Causes Sharp Pain Between The Breasts?
Question: First off I'm a 50 yr old female and I'm getting a sharp pain between my breast and to the left of my breast. It comes and goes. What can it be ?

The sharp pain between the breasts and to the left of it can be due to breast heaviness caused by the hormonal changes in your body. This can also be a muscular pain due to exertion that your body is not used to. A sudden exposure to cold can also trigger this kind of pain so sometimes.
You can start with a mild pain killer like ibuprofen or Tylenol after meals every 6 hourly and see if the pain subsides in a day or two. Doing a self examination of the breast to detect any lumps will also help.
In case the pain is persistent then do consult your physician for a direct examination and stronger prescription medicines.
