Brief Answer:
It is most likely frozen shoulder.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are most likely having frozen shoulder( adhesive capsulitis) as there is severe pain in left shoulder more in the night and there is restriction of movements of shoulder.Treatment of it is mobilisation excercises of shoulder along with analgesic such as ibuprofen / paracetamol. Muscle relaxant such as Thiocolchicoside is helpful. Try to use shoulder and arm in day to day activities. It takes long time in recovery but recovery is generally full.

Second though less likely possibility is cervical spondylitis. But in this restriction of shoulder movements will not be there. It can be seen by x ray of cervical spine.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

There is swelling and tenderness in the front of shoulder. Could it be bursitis or a separated shoulder?

Brief Answer:
May be tendinitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Welcome back .
It can be tendinitis but there will be no restriction of movements, movements will be on movements. Pain will be only on movements.
This isn't likely to be bursitis.
It isn't likely either, to be a dislocated (separated) shoulder.
However, It can be confirmed by an X-ray of your shoulder.
You can discuss this problem with your doctor.
Everything else has been discussed.
If you have any further queries, I would be very glad to help you.
