Can Lower Back Pain Be Symptom Of Lumbar Spondylitis?

I have been suffering from acute lower back pain since a week, went to an ortho and was prescribed aceclofenac 200 mg, multivitamin alpha lipoic acid & selenium caps and calcium tabs. I was told its work related (i work on computers) and my lower spine was injured. I was suffering from cervical spondylitis 3-4 yrs ago but ve no neck pain now. the medi presc by the ortho has given no relief. Are my symptoms indicative of lumbar spondylitis or something else?

Hi,
From history it seems that you had cervical spondilitis in the past and now got severe lower back pain, there are all chances of having spondilits in lower spines as well.
Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region for spondilitis.
Go for back extension exercises daily and regularly.
Take some nap while on long time computer.
Continue with medicines.
Ok and take care.
