What Causes Right-sided Abdominal Pain After Taking Duphaston?

Question: Hi My follicle got ruptured on my 16th day... From 12th day we had intercourse in alternative days. Now from 20th day of my cycle to 30th day my gynac had given Duphaston and asked me to do HPT after delayed periods. Am experiencing slight pain in my right abdomen... I have started expecting from now itself... How many percentage chances are there?? I am bit worried, because I had miscarriage on my first time in 50 days after conceiving... And in April'2016 again I was pregnant but medical termination is done because I had got some viral infection... So am bit worried this time... After taking duphaston I am getting thy pain and AL... Feeling afraid is thy pain common? When can I do HPT? What are the chances of getting positive result.

I understand your concern..

With ovulation induction the chance of pregnancy increases to 20 percent..

With duphaston the chance of pregnancy increases.. It's not common to get pain with duphaston.. You can take pregnancy test 1 week after stopping duphaston tablet.. The chance of pregnancy is 20 percent more than normal cycle..

Take duphaston after confirming pregnancy as You had earlier history of abortions.. Also take aspirin tablet to increase blood flow once cardiac activity appears..

Hi Thank you for our reply... If thy pain is not common means is it becz am gonna have my periods??? Or it might be pregnancy symptom?? Do I need yo consult my gynac? And also they have suggested me to take duphaston twice a day... I missed morning to take tabs... Can I have it for d noon? Or shall I skip it?

Mild pain can occur during pregnancy.. More crampy pain can be due to periods.. If the pain is severe it would be better to consult your gynae..

Duphaston can be taken in the afternoon and other tablet after 12hrs..

Hi Thanks a lot for your clarifficatio. only one more query. Increased number of farting and stomach is always feeling gassy. is this becz of duphaston? or something else might b the reason?

Duphaston to known to decrease GI motility which is the cause of gaseous distension and farting.. Constipation is also common with it.. So don't worry..
