Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Fetal movement is slightly reduced near TERM or before DELIVERY of the baby as compare to 2nd or early 3rd trimester due to engagement of fetal head inside the pelvic cavity and decreased amniotic fluid volume. As your last NST report and ultrasound scan report are NORMAL, then you DON'T have to worry much regarding this. I suggest you to relax before your planned C - Section which is on 18th March. Lastly, it is better to feel and count fetal movement till tomorrow morning and observe the pattern of movement. If you still feel less movement on next day, you can consult with your OBSTETRICIAN for clinical examination and proper management of the case. Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Wish your good health and successful motherhood. Brief Answer: LABOR SIGNS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for follow up query. Every woman's labor event is different. However, some specific changes take place in pre-labor (latent phase), early labor and active labor stage. Followings are the very common labor signs which are seen among most women: 1) Persistent lower back pain or abdominal pain, with a pre-menstrual feeling and cramps. 2) Painful contractions that occur at regular and increasingly shorter intervals, and become longer and stronger in intensity. 3) Broken water - rupture of membrane with a gush or a trickle of amniotic fluid. In this case, you have to contact with nearest hospital or doctor. 4) A brownish or blood-tinged mucus discharge (bloody show). If you pass the mucus plug that blocks the cervix, labour could be imminent, or it could be several days away. It's a sign that things are moving along. 5) An upset tummy or loose bowels. A period of feeling very emotional or moody along with disrupted sleep. Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion. All the best and good luck. Regards, Dr Soumen

Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your response. Don't be worried much and I have already told you that Fetal Movement is slightly reduced after 36 weeks or near term. Engagement of the fetal head inside pelvic cavity with slight reduced amniotic fluid may be the cause of less movement. At this stage, most women feel the same pattern of movement like you and it is not always 10 moves per hour. Baby will move in certain period of time as you have mentioned and not all time. Mild to moderate irregular contraction or sharp pain may appear at this time. It is a sign of FALSE LABOR pain. As your BP is slightly LOW than NORMAL range, you should take healthy diet properly, drink more water, avoid stress and take adequate bed rest in left lateral position. As you have planned for elective C-section, then you should relax till the delivery of your baby. Don't be worried unnecessarily. Hope, it helps for you. Best wishes to you. Kindly, close the discussion. Regards, Dr Soumen

Brief Answer: NO HARMFUL EFFECT TO BABY. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for query. At this stage, cream on your abdomen DOESN'T cause any harmful effect to your baby. However, you should remove the cream by proper cleaning with plain water as it causes discomfort or irritation/itching as you have described. After that, you can apply Aloe Vera Gel for soothing effect. Hope, it helps for you. Wish your good health and take care yourself. Regards, Dr Soumen
