Brief Answer:
Dont panic; follow as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
The signs you have mentioned are common signs of throat infection, bacterial or viral. But you need not panic. You should look for other symptoms like throat pain, difficulty in swallowing, fever etc. If you dont have any such, you need not rush to emergency.
In such patients, I generally give warm saline gargling and vapour inhalation 2-3times daily, with avoidance of chilled or cold products and antihistamines like levocetrizine or fexofenadine to tackle sneezing and cough if any.
I also suggest to get culture for throat swab done to identify the organism. So if the organism is bacteria, antibiotics can be started.
You can consult your treating or family doctor about the above and get it prescribed.
You can consult me or an ENT specialist for any further assistance.

Hope this was useful.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Follow as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
These symptoms can be found in viral throat infection or sore throat. However, sore throat with white marks can be found in bacterial throat infection too. Hence, I asked you to get a throat swab culture done. Thus bacterial cause can be ruled out.
Otherwise it is normal, so you need not panic.

Brief Answer:
Might be sequelae; follow as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Sore throat or throat infection can lead to involvement of oral cavity too alongwith the pharynx when present for a few days. Hence, this is not uncommon in a case of sore throat. We call it a sequelae of throat infection. I would suggest you to follow above advice and get a throat swab done to start antibiotics as bacterial causes of sore throat can give similar pictures also.

Hope this was useful.
