What Causes Recurrent Respiratory Infection?

default
Posted on Thu, 10 Apr 2014
Question: Since July i have had acute tonsilitis, ear infections, bronchitis, strep, sinus infections, respitory infections, foliculitis (hot tub), and now i have strep again. All of which i was on antibiotics. I also had an abcess and root canal that required 2 rounds of antibiotics. (I am allergic to amoxicillin, but i think the doctors have prescribed me each antibiotic known since july, including prednazone). I am so frustrated. I have been sick constantly. What is wrong with me? I just finished azithrimicin on wednesday.... now i still have swollen glands, sore throat, head ache, chest heaviness, body aches, diarrhea, and stomach ache. Should i be tested for anything??????

Brief Answer: please meet your ent doctor Detailed Answer: Hello Please dont worry and get frustrated as this is a common problem faced by many people It is likely that the root cause for all your troubles is your sinus and once that is Taken care of you will do well I would like you to meet your ent doctor, who will do an endoscopy on you and may ask you to do a ct scan. And guide you further There are a few possibilities for the recurrent infection including am allergy or high blood sugars or exposure to environmental pollution or smoking Please discuss this with your ent doctor and let me know what he says. Thanks and take care
