Brief Answer:
Needs clinical examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Pain in the rectum is most commonly seen in association with hemorrhoids. The only way to ascertain it is by clinical examination, if needed a colonoscopy.

I suggest you not to wait and visit a proctologist. Earlier you are diagnosed and treated, faster the cure rate is.

Meanwhile do avoid spicy and hard foods. Consume lots of fiber rich foods like fruits and vegetables. If pain is more taking a laxative like Liquid paraffin will help.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

my pain is not because of hemoroids. I'm embarrassed talking bout this. a friend tried to insert himself into me bet it would not fit cause I never did anything like this before. The pressure from him pushing is causing me a lot of pain about 1 inch inside my rectum. This happened about 4 weeks ago.

in addition I did not go to the doctor but I have been using lidocaine. is there anything else I can use. can I use bacetration? would it help?

Brief Answer:
Povidone Iodine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back..

Do not feel embarrassed. Please disclose everything related to the problem. Only after that, I can advice you specifically.

There could be a minor laceration occurred during the episode. The pain for this long could be due to non healing of the wound. Apply Povidone Iodine ointment. This will reduce the chances of infection and fasten healing.

Use a rectal applicator for the same.

Hope, I answered your query.

Regards,
