Posted on Wed, 21 Sep 2016
Question: Hello Dr XXXXXXX I am XXXXXXX. I have consulted with you few weeks back for tingling/burning sensations in my feet. I am taking the Vitamin B12 capsules but still it is persisted. Along with it I am also experiencing muscle twitching in my leg. Muscle occurs randomly but once comes it stays for 2-3 days. I observed it in my eyelid, hand thumbs along with knee area. I can attach previous discussion for more information. so just worried about combination of muscle twitching along with tingling. I Googled and found reasons like 1. anxiety and stress 2. nerve damage. 3. Imbalanced diet.
From above, I am majorly concerned with nerve damage. Does it persist in young age, what is the reason behind it?
And one more concern about my future like if in early age I am facing this issue, what would happen after 60? Will it be serious ?

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If the symptoms are non responsive to vitamin supplements then you can get a detailed examination by a neurologist.
You should also get nerve conduction study done.
If you have gone through tests or blood investigations please upload.
I will be happy to help you out.

Hello Dr., I am not facing muscle twitching on regular basis, it just come randomly and gone. May be I observed muscle twitching when I was nervous.
As suggested nerve conduction test to be done, Are there any side effects of the test?

Brief Answer:
Get investigated and examined by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Intermittent twitching also requires nerve conduction study and emg.
Get examined by a neurologist and if these twitchings found to be abnormal then investigation should be planned.
Such twitching can also occur in stress, excessive caffeine intake, tea or coffee, hyperthyroidism or stimulant intake.
