Brief Answer:
If it's right lower abdomen then it can be appendix pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what your husband has been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be appendix pain if it's in right lower abdomen and associated with fever or vomiting or severe tenderness or stiffening of abdomen on trying to press on the site of pain. That may necessitate him to get it examined by his primary physician or in nearby ER. Also rule out any history of constipation.

He can take OTC analgesics like acetaminophen but a detailed evaluation and if needed then blood work up like complete blood count and ultrasound may be needed.

Wishing him quick recovery. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
