What Causes Lower Left Abdominal Pain?

Question: hi..i have pain in my left lower abdomen ..sometime it come and go..my period missed 6 days but my pregnancy test is negative...last time i have ectopic pregnancy..i m worried

Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I appreciate your concerns.

Since you had an ectopic pregnancy earlier, possibility of repeat ectopic needs to be excluded. If you have just done a urine pregnancy test, first get a blood pregnancy test done. If that is also negative then ectopic pregnancy is not the cause for this pain.

Then the other possible causes are,
- ovarian cyst
-stone or infection in the urinary tract

Since you do not have any other symptoms like diarrhoea, bloating or back pain intestinal or muscular causes for this pain are unlikely. It is not pelvic infection also as you do not have vaginal discharge etc.

Consult doctor. You need to get an ultrasound done.

i have back pain sometime and neck pain also before but it already stop now...but my pain like ..its something buring on left lower abdominal side

Does the pain increase while passing urine. Since you say it is burning type of pain, it could be urinary infection.
