Brief Answer:
You need to have vitamin D supplementation and a healthy diet !!!

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM-the best health portal online. I have carefully reviewed your case and can well appreciate the health concerns you have.

There are many causes for the low Vit. D levels. To list the major one's it may be due to:
Low vitamin D in diet.
Abortion from gut is reduced.
No sun exposure.
Liver breaks Vit. D down more than usual.
Decreased and/or defective synthesis in the body.
Kidney disease.

Usually the levels of vit. D between 15-20 ng/mL show no symptoms of deficiency in patients. But once the Vit. D levels fall below 20 ng/mL it affects other hormones too. So, the human body's normal functioning is shattered badly once the major hormones and vitamins are deficient. Same way Parathyroid hormone gets higher than normal limits when there is Vit D lower than 20 ng/mL. Parathyroid hormone is essential to bones and bone mass. When it goes high, there is loss of bone mass and fatigue, easy fractures and pain starts in many patients.

Thyroid hormones and vitamin D are the entities that determine how the Energy runs in our body for everyday normal functioning. Once Vit D falls, it affects the body;s energy levels too. That's why you are having the symptoms.

Swollen glands may be due to inflammatory disease, and that is good to be evaluated. I feel OK to hear that your treating Physician is doing the same.

Your next best step is to start spending some time in outside direct sunlight with application of sunscreen and wearing sunglasses. It will help body's production of natural vit. D inside.

Also ask your Physician to give you a prescription for Vit. D supplementation.

I suspect thyroid functions issues too. So, it will be beneficial if you ask your physician about that. If necessary, he may go for a thyroid profile testing. Hair fall may be due to deranged thyroid gland functions. Low protein and low calorie diet may also lead to hair fall. Keep a balanced and healthy diet and remain away from junk foods and extra energy drinks available in the market.

Hope it helps. Please feel free to consult me anytime for further assistance if needed. I am here to help.
