Brief Answer:
Blood pressure drop is drug-induced.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Propafenone is used for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation/flutter (PAF).Metoprolol is used for rate-limiting in AFIB. Both Propafenone & Metoprolol can cause hypotension as side-effect. She needs dose adjustment to maintain an optimum blood pressure and at the same time control of AFIB.

Okay Doctor. I forgot to mention that she has a Pace Maker Mediatronics implant also. I am sorry for neglecting that information.

Brief Answer:
Anti-arrhythmic drugs in a patient with AF & PPI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The optimum systolic blood pressure is 100-90 mm hg. Permanent Pace Maker implant (PPI) is a safeguard against tachy-brady arrythmia (SA node dysfunction).
Measure blood pressure(BP) on lying and sitting/standing position (after a gap of 02 minutes). There should not be any postural drop by more than 10 mm hg in systolic BP.
Inform your finding to your doctor.
