What Causes Increased Vaginal Discharge And Bacterial Vaginosis?

default
Posted on Thu, 22 Sep 2016
Question: To whom it may concern,
I've been experiencing increased vaginal discharge that is white in color and non-odorous. I was treated for bacterial vaginosis a few weeks ago and thought that the discharge would clear up with the infection, however, this is not the case. I'm also experiencing a slight tingling/very mild burning sensation (a sensation similar to that of peppermint). I've noticed the discharge increases in amount when I sweat/exercise. At this point, I'm wondering 1) if I should go back to the doctor, and 2) if there are any homeopathic options for treatment (depending on what the cause might be of course).

I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Appears to be yeast ( fungal) infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about white discharge.

This is typical of fungal (yeast) vaginal infection. This needs to be treated by clotrimazole vaginal pessaries for a week.

Please see your doctor and get high vaginal swab culture and sensitivity test done to identify the type of yeast infection.

Homeopathic medicines are not of help in this case. Your fungal infection needs to be treated.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards
