Brief Answer:
Salivary gland or a lymph node.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Good Morning!

I would like to know a few more points for me to help you.

Since when was the swelling existing ( before increasing to double in one night) ?
Any pain, redness, Pain on pressure?
Does it increase in size while chewing- you can put pinch of salt or sugar on tongue and see if it increases ?

The most probable causes are.
-If the swelling is near the angle of mandible (Jaw-bone), which increases on stimulation of salivation , this is most probably a Sub-mandibular salivary gland with stones or infection causing enlargement overnight.
-This can be a lymph node, increased due to secondary infection.

I would advise the following in such a patient:
Ultrasonography, FNAC (Fine Neddle Aspiration Cytology) if required, CT scan to confirm if required.
Blood tests- CBC sugar and other relevant tests as may be needed.
Opinion of an ENT Surgeon for bi-manual palpation, to see the floor of the mouth, and whole ENT examination.

This will give the perfect diagnosis and a plan for further management.

I hope this answer helps you well for proper diagnosis and perfect management.
