Question: i just turned 49 years old,I've been experiencing frequent urinating,especially at night,and I'm having problems controlling it,when I get the urge I can't hold it.

In absence of burning frequent urination at night and urgency for urination are mostly due to what is termed as Over Active Bladder syndrome (OAB).

Normally one gets sensation or desire to pass urine after bladder gets filled with 300-350 ml of urine but in OAB there are involuntary contractions of bladder even if it is filled with 100-150 ml of urine leading to urgency and frequency for urination .

Start takinganti muscuranic drug like Darifenacin once daily .You will notice improvement in your symptoms after 10 days after you start taking medication and will have to take it for 3-4 months .
