What Causes Frequent Urination At Night, Excessive Thirst, Foot Cramps And Vision Problem?

default
Posted on Fri, 15 Apr 2016
Question: for a few months I have had to urinate at night every 1 1/2 hours all through the night. I have very dry mouth and am very thirsty . I also ,to me, have symptoms of dehydration though at night I drink a lot of water? I get sever cramps sometimes at night only, that run up my inner thigh , my foot also cramps. In the last day my close vision has became worse . I can hardly read my phone or read a news paper. Two days ago I could?

What are the concerns of vision getting better or progressing worse I have heard about people losing their eye sight!

HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.

There are 3 issues here.

1. Frequent Urination at night, excessive thirst.
2. Cramps.
3. Vision Problem.

Frequent urination with thirst could be due to Diabetes , Enlargement of prostrate or Urine Infection. In that regard I advise you to get the following tests done .

Fasting and Postprandial Blood sugars, Urine Routine and Ultrasound Pelvis scan.

Cramps could be due to dehydration or potassium defciency, I advise you to drink plenty of water , drink plenty of fruit juice ( after getting the tests done )

Vision problem needs a thorough examination by an Eye doctor , many conditions causing vision problem can be easily corrected or treated. I recommend you to consult an Opthalmologist and get you eye examination done.

Kindly revert back with test reports.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards.
