Brief Answer:
Androstenedione

Detailed Answer:
May I know the exact levels of androstenedione ? It is mainly the significant elevations that are associated with worrisome problems. Further as you say most of your other hormone levels are normal. So does that mean your TSH, Testosterone, DHEAS, Prolactin are normal ? Also, are your menstrual cycles regular and do you have excess body hair in a male pattern ?

My androstenedione levels - 96 pg/ml, testosterone - 9 pg/ml. These I had tested last week. My TSH and Prolactin were tested about a year ago and the test results were: TSH- 1.230 mIU/mL and Prolactin - 8.4 mg/mL. I have regular menstrual cycles. As to excess hair, I do have compared to my mother and other female relatives. Estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, cortisol, 17-OH progesterone and DHT are normal.

Detailed Answer:
I see. It is quite clear your hormone profile is normal.

An isolated mild androstenedione elevation does not suggest any major medical condition. Unless the levels are markedly high, it is not considered to be of concern

However, I would like to know the range of normal on your lab for androstenedione

The normal range for the androstenedione on my lab sheet is 6 - 69 pg/ml.

Thank you for sharing.

This is not an alarming elevation. By itself it does not seem to suggest any worrisome problem, because the other male hormone levels are normal.

So as long as you do not have 'virilizing' signs ie evidence of masculine features developing such as a deep voice, muscular growth and blunting of female body contours then it does not represent a concern.
