Brief Answer:
Can be side effects of Bupropion

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand the distress due to the symptoms that you are having. Bupropion is a drug which is used foe treating depression, anxiety and smoking cessation.

Bupropion is known to cause some side effects like strange sensation in the throat, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, dizziness, etc. when the drug is initiated. However, most of these symptoms are mild and goes off on its own.

You will have to discuss it with your treating physician if the symptoms persist even after around a week or if it is severe. in addition, in case you have chest pain, confusion, any allergic reaction (skin rash), or seizures (very rare side effects), you will have to notify your doctor immediately.

Hope I have been able to help with your query. If you have any further clarifications, please feel free to ask.

I do hope that you get well soon. Best wishes.

Dr. Sunil Gupta
