What Causes Elevated HCG Levels After A D&C Procedure?
Question: my wife had D&C on 20th December 2015 and after D&C HCG Level observed value is 16.90 mIU/mL. Now 50(7 weeks 1 day) days are over and she still didn't get her period.
1. Please suggest me to get when can see expect her period?
2. Does any food/vegetable/diet (she is vegetarian) help to lower down HCG level?
3. Any symptoms in her body which helps to identify the next period is on the way..

It is common to have raised hcg levels for 2-3 weeks so no need to worry about it or take anything to lower it as this value of hcg is insignificant.
It takes 3-12 weeks for periods to resume after abortion and especially d&c provedure so just wait for them but still keep abstaining from intercourse or use contraceptive cover.
She can conceive immediately after abortion even before her periods so just do a pregnancy test today and if negative wait for periods.
Symptoms of upcoming periods are usually mild like breast fullness of tenderness, mood swings. slight bloating of abdomen and at times uterine cramps but around 10-20% women have no symptoms at all.
So just wait for her periods and use contraception every time you indulge in intercourse.

We are just married and not looking for child.I am using condom for precaution.
1.As i said on 21st December 2015 HCG value was 16.90 mIU/mL, so now after 50 days it should have reached to less than 5 mIU/ml?
2. If the first question response is yes then,Pregnancy KIT test should come Negative?
