What Could Cause Constant Pain In Stomach Due To Gas During Pregnancy?

good morning Doctor I m a little over 5 weeks pregnant but I m most of the time in pain because of the gases although I m putting on warm clothes and not letting myself feel cold or anything like that. what could the reason be and what can I do to relieve this pain

hi..welcome to HC magic. congratulations and welcome to motherhood. Lower abdominal pain in early pregnancy is a common complaint. Usually it is mild uterine cramps. Apart from that, gastritis and reflux is also common which occurs due to increased pregesterone levels in blood. Avoid spicy foods, caffeine containing beverages such as coffee, tea and also chocolates. If u are having severe discomfort, u can take an antacid for few days. If the pain is due to uterine cramps, it will spontaneously subside over a period of time.
