What Causes Dryness In The Mouth While Treating Raynaud's Syndrome And Hashimoto's Disease?
Question: I was just seen by a opthamologist and he is sure that I have graves disease. I have been on 75 mcg levothyroxine x1 daily since being diagnosed with hashimotos in 2008 and raynauds. My reason for the visit to the opthamologist was to rule out stroke due to partial vision loss in left eye( which returned to normal with 20 min after 325 mg aspirin) so far he saw no evidence of a stroke. He ws sure it is migranes! more test performed, not back yet. I carried with me to the opthamoligist the mri and mra that the neurologist ordered which showed white flares in the white matter of the frontal cortex. differential diagnosis with ms and tia's ?? I am a fitness instructor x20 years now motivated because of family hx of heart disease and vascular problems in general with aneurisms and strokes. I am 53 years old 150lbs caucasion live in Alaska since 1999 and take better care of myself than most women my age. I don't eat that much sugar, glueten free, drink approx. 2 glasses red wine most every day. Now the past few days I have started developing dry mouth??? I have never had a problem with dry mouth before? My next apt to the neurogist is mid nov and the opthamologist in 6 months

Brief Answer:
Possible TIA? Please upload complete reports of MRI and MRA
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your question in detai.
Your symptoms are directly with related to TIA.
TIA could be precursor lesion to Stroke.
I can give you more info if you can please upload the complete reports of MRI and MR angiogram.
The dry mouth vould result from the medications which you are probably using for hashimoto's and Raynaud's.
Once I completely go through your MRi and MRA, I will give you the final therapeutic guidance.
Post your further if any.
Thank you.
