Recently had a check xray of chest and an ultrasound of abdomen. Both came back normal. My dizzy spells are post these two exams. Spent two days ago working outside in about a five hour period lifted objects of moderate weight (40 pounds). That night my dizzy spells began and occur even while lying in bed. I find it especially bad when bending over. I under went my yearly physical recently and the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel work up came back as normal in every field except low in protein and my cholesterol was at 203. Finally, I should mention I have had peripheral neuropathy for the past 25 years. Most affected have been numbness in feet and hands. The disease has affected my life style only moderately. I take Tramadol usually prior to bed.

I can't tell-did you receive my updatrd information?

Brief Answer:
Blood pressure and inner ear dysfunction to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back and thanks for the clarifications.

It is important to know how long these dizzy spells last, if they last few seconds or a minute or two it is probably benign paroxysmal positional vertigo that is causing your symptoms.

If they last several minutes, Ménière's disease should be considered.

Another thing that needs to be considered in your case is blood pressure and its possible changes.

It is necessary to monitor your blood pressure for few days several times during the day, in order to evaluate this possibility too.

About inner ear dysfunction ( BPPV and Ménière's) an ENT Doctor should be consulted.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
