Question: I get sick every time I take thyroid medication. I am aggitated. have stomach discomfort, and neck and chest discomfort. I need the medicine but I have lived with this misery for twenty years.

I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties you have with these medications. When were you diagnosed as having low thyroid and when was the last time you had your TSH controlled to evaluate the functioning of this drug? How much of this drug do you take daily?

This is because agitation after taking a thyroid medication may rather suggest over medication. Unless there is one of the ingredients used in making the drug that you are allergic to, this would be the most likely case. Has your experienced been the same irrespective of what brand of thyroid medication you are taking?
