What Causes Discomfort During Intercourse And Itching Around Vagina?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 Oct 2015
Question: I have had symptoms that have come and gone twice now. I have had some slight discomfort during sex, mild itching on my vagina, an unusually thin discharge that does not smell foul and little tiny painless unless touched red spots with a white rim around them. The spots come and go in a few days and there is only one or two at a time. I only notice them if i touch them and they are only on my clitorous. If i rub them the white stuff Will come right off and like i said it only stings a little when touched. I have experienced swollen tonsils only on one side and some puss along with some soreness and it passes in 2 to 3 days. What could this be? Trich? Herpes? Please im very concerned and i don't have health care to go to a doctor.

Brief Answer:
possibly folliculitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
With the description of it it appears to folliculitis with white putty material just popping out of it. However red spots with white margin can be seen in herpes and trichomoniasis both but their location differs. Specifically on clitoral region then it is likely folliculitis but mild itching and thin discharge in vagina can be due to bacterial vaginosis and you may require a vaginal swab culture for the same. I would like you to send a picture of the lesions through this platform for better analysis and opinion.
