What Causes Difficulty In Conceiving?

default
Posted on Sat, 5 Apr 2014
Question: Hello, I have been trying to conceive for quite some time now. This cycle my Doctor took through the follicular scanning. On Day 12, a follicle of size 28mm was seen in the left ovary which the doctor suspected as a cyst from last cycle. But on day 16, the cyst got deformed and some free fluid was also seen in the left ovary. There was another dominant follicle in left ovary size 19.8mm, which the doctor said is healthy. There were no dominant follicles in the right ovary. I was given HUCOG 10000 injection on day 16. Are there any chances of conception in such a scenario.Could the ruptured cyst from last cycle cause any hindrance? I have also had regular cycles of 28 days.

Brief Answer: Chances of conception are present. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. The overgrown follicle from the previous cycle that has ruptured now is not likely to affect the healthy follicle that is growing in your left ovary. Since the injection HCG has been given the healthy follicle is likely to rupture in next 2-3 days. Your periods are also regular. So the chances of pregnancy are present in this cycle. Do indulge in planned relations as suggested by your gynecologist. Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have. Wishing you good health. Regards.
