Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern I would explain that it is important performing a comprehensive differential diagnosis between different causes that may lead to this clinical scenario:

- a metabolic disorder like thyroid dysfunction, chronic anemia
- sleep apnea

I recommend performing these tests:

- complete blood count for chronic anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid dysfunction
- blood gas analysis
- polysomnography for possible sleep apnea
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring would help examine your heart rhythm during the day and exclude possible arrhythmia
- respiratory function tests for possible lung disorders

I recommend you to discuss with your attending physician on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

As your last performed tests have resulted normal and your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac disorders, there is no need to repeat a cardiac ultrasound.

Nevertheless, an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring would really help examine better your heart rhythm (even during sleep) and detect possible cardiac arrhythmia.

I would advise performing the above mentioned tests and an ENT specialist consult to detects for possible obstruction of the airways (which is a common cause of sleep apnea).

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings!
