Brief Answer:
wait for 5 more days and do the urine preg test....

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting healthcaremagic for an opinion.

I understand your concern about pregnancy, but its just been 2 days over your due date. I suggest wait for atleast 7 days past your due date and perform a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. Its 7 days because the test at that time is confirmative and no false positives are reported.

If the result is negative then no need to worry. It is seen that stress is the most common reason which can often delay the menses.
so , i suggest wait for 5 more days and if the periods resume, great. and if the test is positive then if pregnancy is not desired then medical methods of termination can be safely considered under supervision..

Brief Answer:
maintain a menstrual calendar...explained

Detailed Answer:
thanks for the follow up.

well in that case , i see that you have been facing irregularity since last two months. If you have been sexually active, then it is important for you to practice contraception incase you are not planning to conceive. Secondly , i would advise you to maintain a menstrual calendar for atleast 3 months in all which would help understand your cyclical pattern n a better manner.

However if the pattern still remains irregular then a hormonal profile would be required to ascertain any hormonal imbalance . Usually stress an emotional factors are the cause in a lady who had regular menses earlier. so it is advisable to keep relaxed and if gaining weight then try to reduce so, as obesity is a deterrent to regularity.

i hope i have answered your query.
feel free to follow up.

I have a menstrual calender.hence I noticed the irregularity. But from this when do u think my ovulation started as I had unprotected sex on the 14th of Nov.

Brief Answer:
you were in your unsafe period during sexual encounter.

Detailed Answer:
thanks for the follow up,

well , considering a 28 day cycle , you were well within the unsafe period when you had sex on 14th of Nov. Your ovulation would have occurred between 14-16th of NOv.
Unsafe period is 3 days before and 7 days after the ovulation. If you have not taken any emergency contraception , then the only way to confirm pregnancy would be urine pregnancy test after 5 days considering that your due date was 27 nov.
however you may do the blood serum hcg test now to check for raised hcg levels which indicate pregnancy . If levels are low, then pregnancy is ruled out.

Ok.if I take 3000mg vitamin c supplement for 3 days. Will dat induce my period and make it flow
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
there are no evidences that vit c induces periods.

Detailed Answer:
Well there are no evidences that vitamic c per se can help induce periods or abortion. It does not help if pregnancy is established.

But then the other side is you dont have any pregnancy symptoms which are due to increased hcg .
so i sincerely suggest you to wait for few days and do the preg test. If negative then you can opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterone and resume your menses and if its positive then you may consider abortion medically with drugs under a physicians supervision.
As in most countries these abortion drugs are not available off the counter hence a prescription is required.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (32 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
chances in cases of precum only...

Detailed Answer:
well , in that case it is unlikely , but if there has been precum which may have been ejacuated inside, then chances may exist . If there had been complete withdrawal , then there are no chances at all.
