What Causes Delayed Period Along With Breast Pain And Tiredness?
Question: Hi, I am 30 year old,married for last 6 years with no kids.My periods are usually regular and comes every 28 days. This month I was expecting it on 19th April but howvwer it did not occur. My last period was on 21st March, previous one being on 23rd Feb. I had intercourse on 31st March and 2nd April.
Presently I am having some breast pains, i feel anxious and tired all the time and my tounge has become tasteless. Yesterday night or early morning i was feeling a little bit high body temperature(kind of feverish). Also I tend to get headaches now and then. is it possibly a pregnancy?

Hi Doc,
I did a home pregnancy test twice and both times it came negative.I went for a lower abdomen scan. The report has the following reading:
Urninary Bladder: It is Normal in wall thickness with contents.
Uterus: Uterus is anteverted,normal in size measuring around 6.2*2.6*2.4 cms.
Central endometrial echo 6.0 mm.
Myometrium appear uniform.
Ovaries:
Right Ovary-2.4*1.2 cms, no follicles are seen.
Left Ovary-2.4*1.4 cms, shows follicle of 6 mm.
No free fluid detected in pouch of XXXXXXX
Is this a normal reading? What does 6 mm follicle in left ovary signifies? My periods are now due for 4 days.

2) 6 mm follicle is IMMATURE ovarian follicle. Not much significant in this stage.

Thanks Doc. I have a few more doubts. What are the possible reasons for this missed period. Also when will it be the good time to detetmine whether we have any infertility problem or not?is there any sign of infertility in my scan report?

2) If you are trying to conceive for more than 6 months and fail to get pregnant, then you have to undergo some basic fertility test including hormone profile.
Husband's semen analysis is also required before you undergo to above fertility tests.
3) Your ultrasound scan report is NORMAL and there is NO sign of infertility in your scan report. However, you need to undergo other fertility tests.
