Brief Answer:
Wait for 3-4 days more and then consult gynecologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
If you are not having any periods even after finishing a medroxyprogesterone therapy for 5 days, then the following causes needs to be ruled out :-

1. Pregnancy - urine test will help in excluding pregnancy.

2.Thyroid hormone deficiency- A simple blood test will help in excluding hypothyroidism.

3. Premature menopause- Blood FSH levels will help in diagnosis.

4. Increased prolactin levels.

I suggest you to wait for at least 10 days after completing the progesterone therapy for the periods to start. If after 10 days periods do not occur, then investigations are entailed. Please visit your gynecologist to undergo physical check up and also to undergo relevant investigations required in your case.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

My FSH level was normal in April.
Could it still be perimenapause?I drink at times up to 10 regular sodas a day.. Can this affect my ovaries and overall cycle?

Brief Answer:
Less likely to be perimenopausal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The delay can be due to other hormone disturbance also. If FSH was normal in April then a perimenopausal irregularity is less likely.
Hope my answer is helpful.

I drink a lot of regular soda. 10 cans a day at times.
IS this affecting my ovaries and my cycle?

Answered by Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
It is better to decrease the intake.

Detailed Answer:
Taking anything in excess is harmful for your body. It is best to reduce the soda intake. It can cause an excessive weight gain also affecting the hormonal balance.
Regards.
