Posted on Mon, 22 Jun 2015
Question: hi, my daughter hit her head badly at daycare yesterday she was taken to hospital by ambulance. She was released the same day with no test or scans done. Today she is more clumsy than usual and is running a slight fever. Should I get her seen again or is it just symptoms of concussion? thanks

Brief Answer:
Will tell you the danger signs of head injury

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. First be reassured that your kid is normal.

I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.

If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about this trivial head injury.

For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose(max ceiling dose 500mg) every 4-6th hourly.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
