What Causes Chest Pain, Excessive Thirst And Cough In A Diabetic Patient?

Question: I have pain in my upper back in my lungs I have type two diabetes I can't stop drinking fluids And I can't get rid of most of fluids sugar count was 160 about a half hour ago I keep shooting insulin A cough and choke when I lay down it started three days ago . Thanks XXXXXXX

Since you are diabetic, we should rule out lung infection (pneumonia) in your case.
You are also having chest pain and cough.
Both are seen in pneumonia.
So better to first get done chest x ray to rule out pneumonia.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for pneumonia.
But if chest x ray is suggestive of pneumonia then you will need antibiotic drugs.

You are having decreased urine output with edema feet, so possibility of renal (kidney) damage is more.
And for this you need to get done renal function test.
Diabetic patients are known to develop renal complications after few years.
So please let me know
1. Since how long you are having diabetes?
2. Have you ever undergone ultrasound examination of abdomen to know the kidney size?
3. Have you ever undergone urine microscopic examination?
