Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Burning in chest for last 6 weeks , getting improved with antacids and PPIs for a while and then comes back is likely acid reflux also called GERD and with NSAIDs use in history of meloxicam, it could be NSAIDs induced gastritis. Now the resistance and severity of the illness may be causing these symptoms to not go away. You need to stop meloxicam or any other NSAID and keep taking these antacids for at least 4 to 8 weeks . Apart from these medications, lose weight if overweight, avoid triggers like smoking, coffee, tea, spices, chocolates, fatty foods, processed canned foods , delay lying down after meals for 2 to 3 hours and keep head side of the bed elevated for 8 inches.

Nutshell , supportive care for 6 to 8 weeks, no NSAIDs and wait and see, it will subside most likely. If persists, further work up will be needed like esophageal manometry, pH monitoring and endoscopy.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
