Brief Answer:
Medicines to stop bleeding and clots . Water , fruit juices.USG, curettage.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Dr. Purushottam here.
I have understood your concern.
I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
Please do not panic.
You are right in thinking about her menopause and related issues as far as her age is concerned.

But she needs to get treated for passage of blood clots. Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for the same. Usually Mefenamic acid and Tranexamic acid tablets are prescribed.
She should have plenty of water, fruits and fruit juices daily to overcome the weakness caused by blood loss.

She needs to get investigated to know if there is any detectable cause for her heavy bleeding, before relating it to menopause.

Secondly, I would like to know about few things-
Since when she is having heavy bleeding and passage of clots during menses?
Has she done USG-sonography?
Has she undergone endometrial biopsy or curettage in the recent past?
This information will help me to help out her problem.

I hope this answer helps you.
Please feel free to revert back.
Thanks.
